Details on our Screening at Fringe Festival 2010

In their own words, the Long Island Fringe Festival is the "crest of Long Island’s live professional avant-garde entertainment wave. We present a diverse, talented and unified artistic showcase to wow and inspire." You can find a complete schedule of the main festival events on this site.

From the official press release: Four film blocks comprised of nine local independent films from the Long Island International Film Expo (LIIFE) will screen at the Long Island Fringe Festival on Saturday and Sunday, September 25 and 26, 2010 in the Humanities Building by the Tilles Center at CW Post College. The complete schedule is below. Purgatory Comics is screening Sept 26th at noon.

Sat, Sept 25

12:00 Noon

  • This Mortal Coil
  • Night for Day

3 pm

  • Hindsight
  • Just Like Joe

Sun, Sept 26

12:00 noon

  • Bathtub Gin
  • The One That I Want
  • Purgatory Comics

3:00 pm

  • Mildred Richards
  • Video Guys

Screenings are $5 for Filmmakers Connection members, $7 for the general public. You pay for one admission, and can go to any one film block (unless you buy the bundle and can see more than one film block). You can purchase tickets in advance at this web site.

I'll be returning from a much-needed vacation that weekend so I'll miss the Saturday screenings, but if you can get there, I recommend the short film "This Mortal Coil" that was made by my buddy Sean. I'll be there Sunday for our screening and to enjoy the festival!
