On the Set of Halina: Day 3

We had the same shoot location for Monday December 8th and Tuesday December 9th. That, combined with the enclosed and private environment, made this part of the project a lot less stressful and enjoyable. Once again we were shooting in Oheka; this time in a gorgeous suite that served as Halina's personal space. Speaking of Halina...

Here's your very first look at Hannah Jane in wardrobe as the titular character Halina! This was Hannah Jane's first day on the set. As expected she was phenomenal, and her and Lilly have a dynamic that deserves well over the 30-minute run-time of this film.

Here's Cheryl the Production Manager and I. Cheryl has been a godsend throughout this entire production and I'm lucky to have her.

Highlights of the day include being in one controlled location (and leaving the gear there after wrapping), and just watching Hannah Jane bring Halina to life (and Lilly acting with her). Another highlight is how well-oiled the crew had become. The suite we wanted to use was unexpectedly occupied much later than we'd planned, which resulted in start that was 90-minutes late. But thanks to this crew and the stellar actors, we plowed through the day with maximum efficiency and didn't fall behind.

This was a really enjoyable day for me, which ended in a really fun cast dinner and a relaxing stay at the hotel. And I'm really glad I stayed overnight because the next morning had some torrential rain that brought some new challenges to the shoot. But that's a story for the next entry...
